Discover the best of the Sacred Valley of the Incas through this route that begins at the Balcón del Inca, a beautiful place with an impressive view of the ruins and the city of Chinchero, where twelve families still preserve their traditional customs and show us the ancestral way in which they process wool, to obtain such vivid colors for their textiles. We then continue to Ollantaytambo, one of the most monumental architectural complexes of the ancient Inca Empire and one of the few places where the Spanish conquerors lost a great battle. Well known for its "andenes" (terraces built on the slopes of the mountains for agricultural purposes) Ollantaytambo was a very effective fortress, which also served as a temple. Then we pass through the town of Ollantaytambo, "the only living Inca city", with narrow and cobbled streets, which continue to be inhabited since the 13th century.
